The Story Behind the Stories.
Long before Leslie A. DeBord began writing the Shiloh Creek Series, she was discovering the power of story. She began writing in the sixth grade, completed her first novella in the eighth, and continued pursuing the gift others had encouraged her to develop. As a teenager, she began writing devotionals for her church and discovered that faith and fiction could come together to tell stories that both entertain and minister to the heart.
Her perspective has been shaped by thirty years of ministry and twenty years in human resources, where she spent her career listening to people, solving problems, and witnessing the courage, heartache, and hope found within everyday lives. Later, a season of caregiving changed the rhythm of her life and gave her the opportunity to return more fully to the calling that had followed her since childhood.
Today, Leslie writes Christian romance and suspense rooted in faith, redemption, and restoration. Through characters carrying deep wounds and complicated pasts, her novels offer a lasting reminder: healing is not the erasing of what has been, and the past does not get to decide where the story ends.
